TPC Services

office photoo

These are the services provided by Translational Proteomics Center (TPC):

  • Experimental design and power analyses*
  • Depletion of most abundant proteins
  • BCA (Total Protein Quantitation)
  • Immunoprecipitation
    • >> Investigators must provide the antibodies and the lysis buffer.
  • Sample Preparation:
    • Acetone Precipitation
    • SDS PAGE
    • Coomassie or Silver Stain
  • Sample Processing for Mass Spectrometry:
    • Reduction and Alkylation
    • Enzymatic digestion in-gel
    • Peptide Extractions
    • Peptide cleaning (when required)
  • Protein Identification:
    • Analysis by LC-MS/MS (Easy nLC 1000/LTQ XL)
    • Proteome Discoverer 1.4 or 2.1 Data Search
    • Proteome Discoverer 2.5
  • Quantitative Proteomics:
    • Peptide tagging (TMT labeling)
    • Analysis by LC-MS/MS (Easy nLC 1200/Q-Exactive Plus)
    • Peptide Fractionation
    • Proteome Discoverer 2.1 Data Search
  • Targeted mass spectrometry analysis
    • Processed samples are run in the Q-Exactive Plus
    • Peptide sequences and charge states must be provided using previous (non-targeted) mass spectrometry data
    • Raw data analysis not included

Notes:

  • An initial consultation with Dr. Loyda M. Meléndez and Staff is required to determine the experimental approach.
  • Quantitative Proteomics by TMT Labelling requires a supply kit ($3,000 x 30 samples) included in the final Invoice.
  • Requires Bio-informatics analysis. Data generated by Mass Spectrometry will be transferred directly to Dr. Abiel Roche’s facility. Additional costs apply that should be coordinated with Dr. Roche.
  • (*) Services that can also be provided in collaboration with Dr. Horacio Serrano’s QP Lab.
