Objectives of Community Coalition Team

• Create a centralized mechanism to support and enhance investigators-community relationships to increase community-academy collaborations     
• Provide useful advice to investigators who are conducting basic, behavioral and clinical/health services research projects in research areas of high interest to the community     
• Increase investigators’ ability to understand and incorporate community perspectives in research projects addressing minority health and health disparities     
• Define strategies to improve the recruitment and retention of study participants     
• Work and establish methods to disseminate research findings to a variety of audiences
