5th National Symposium on Prostate Cancer at Clark Atlanta University

Dr. Emma Fernández and Dr, José G. Conde attended Clark Atlanta University’s Annual National Symposium on Prostate Cancer and the Spring RCMI Program Directors Meeting at the Thomas W. Cole, Jr. Research Center for Science and Technology on March 15-17, 2009, in Atlanta, Georgia. The main areas of interest included community outreach, as well as cell and molecular biology of prostate cancer. The meeting featured renowned prostate cancer researchers and advocates, including Dr. Shafiq A. Khan Director, Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development and Professor, Department of Biological Sciences, Clark Atlanta University; Dr. Rudy Lombard, The Second Opinion Society, Chicago, Illinois; Dr. Jessie Satia,  University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Dr. Edward P. Gelmann Columbia University, New York, New York; Dr. Donna Peehl, Stanford University School of Medicine Stanford, California; Dr. James L. Mohler, Roswell Park Cancer Center, Buffalo, New York; Dr. Marja T. Nevalainen, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Dr. Sarki A. Abdulkadir, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee.
