Dr. Emma Fernández-Repollet Invited to Participate in NCRR Strategic Planning Forum
Dr. Emma Fernández-Repollet, RCMI Program Director at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, was invited to participate in the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) Strategic Planning Forum. Invited forum participants represent a cross-section of investigators, many of whom know NCRR well and others who represent additional areas of relevant expertise. The activity will be held in on December 3 and 4 in Rockville, Maryland.
The forum, titled Harnessing Innovation to Advance Human Health, is designed to explore critical, interdisciplinary issues related to how NCRR can most effectively meet its responsibilities and provide leadership through investments in basic, clinical, and translational research, and support for diverse research resources. NCRR's next Strategic Plan, covering the years 2009-2013, will help to accelerate the translation of research findings from bench to bedside and ultimately into medical practice.
