NCRR Launches National Network to Connect Investigators Based at Minority Institutions Award Will Facilitate Multi-Site Collaborative Clinical and Translational Research
The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), announced today it will initially provide $9.5 million over three years to launch a Translational Research Network that will increase the opportunity for multi-site clinical and translational research among minority and other collaborating institutions throughout the nation.
School of Medicine Faculty Participate at University of Scranton’s Internet2 Symposium
Drs. Nerián Ortiz and Yasmín Pedrogo, from the Department of Pediatrics, presented over videoconference at the Internet2 Symposium hosted by the University of Scranton on January 17, 2007. The interactive session was also attended remotely by faculty and students at the University of St. Francis.
RCMI Programs in Puerto Rico Host 10th RCMI International Symposium on Health Disparities
The 10th RCMI International Symposium on Health Disparities took place on December 13 - 16, 2006 at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Over 650 participants from the Caribbean, Brazil, Africa and the United States attended the meeting.
