Dr. Walmor De Mello appointed International Mentor of the American Heart Association
Dr. Walmor De Mello, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine, was appointed International Mentor of the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association is in the process of establishing a new International Mentoring Program for young physicians and scientists located outside the United States and Dr. De Mello was invited to become a mentor in this important program. The Program is limited to members of the American Heart Association. Dr. Bob Carey, Chair of the International Mentoring Task Force made the announcement in a communication dated May 3, 2006.
