RCMI Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus

An Exchange in Cyberspace

On April 11, 2005, students from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania met in cyberspace with students at the Medical Sciences Campus. Professors Margie Morales from St. Francis and Cynthia Cruz-Gómez from the Physical Therapy Program at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus led the discussions during this videoconference. The focus of this activity was to provide students of the Spanish course at St. Francis with an opportunity to exchange ideas about Puerto Rico with Puerto Rican students in the Campus.

Technical support of this activity was provided by Michael Shanafelt, from the Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under Served Areas at St. Francis University, and Aníbal Vega, Systems Programmer at the RCMI Center for Information Architecture in Research.
