University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus Participates in the NIAID's HIV Vaccine Trials Network

The University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus is participating in the HVTN network of clinical sites in the United States and abroad that is dedicated to the development of an HIV vaccine. Dr. Carmen Zorrilla, Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and also an RCMI Program investigator made the announcement in a press conference held on December 3, 2002.

University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine awarded $2.9 million endowment from the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities

The University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine has been awarded a $2.9 million endowment from the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) at NIH.
