IRB Committee Sponsors Workshop
on Electronic Management of Documents
The Institutional Review Board of the Medical Sciences Campus sponsored a workshop on the use of IRBWise, a computer application developed for the submission and management of IRB documents. The workshop was held on April 8, 2003 at the facilities of Compucentro, and was attended by Campus investigators and by members of the Institutional Review Board.
Mr. Greg White, from the Georgia Institute of Technology, presented an overview of the capabilities of the software, and assisted participants in testing its capabilities through hands-on exercises. Dr. Eddie González, Compliance Officer of the Medical Sciences Campus, and Mr. Miguel Cruz, from the Information Systems Office, collaborated with Mr. White during the workshop.
IRBWise has been adopted for use by the Medical Sciences Campus. It is expected that this new tool will serve to facilitate activities of the Institutional Review Board.
